2023 National Technical Training Exchange Meeting On Wool Fiber Testing Was Successfully Concluded

On December 13, 2023, the National Technical Training and Exchange Meeting on Wool Fiber Testing continued brilliantly. In response to the research on the difficult problems of wool fiber testing carried out by the Association in August, experts gave a special presentation on fiber length and yak hair, demonstrated the practical operation of lint free hand platoon length, and invited experts from production enterprises, testing and scientific research institutions, Conduct dialogues and exchanges around issues of concern to the industry.

Wang Li, director of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Fiber Quality Monitoring Center, Wang You, deputy general manager of the cashmere spinning business department of Inner Mongolia Ordos Resources Co., Ltd., Chen Jihong, senior technical manager of Intertek (Tianjin) Quality Technology Service Co., Ltd., Li Yunzhen, chairman of Hangzhou Shengmate Wool Co., Ltd., and Wang Xiaoping, director of Nanjing Customs Industrial Product Testing Center, attended the forum. The round table forum was presided over by Liu Yan, vice president of the China Maoist Association. Five experts in different fields had in-depth discussions on cashmere's coarse and heterochromatic fibers, changes in fiber fineness after production and processing, detection methods, instrument substitution and future development of the cashmere industry.

On the topic of fiber length, Wang Qiuyan, engineer of the Quality Department of Inner Mongolia Erdos Cashmere Group Co., Ltd., conducted on-site teaching training and practical demonstration on the length of cashmere free hand platoon. The experimenters from the front line came forward to learn and consult, and the training site was crowded.

In view of the fiber length problem of yarn fabric, Chen Jihong, senior technical manager of Intertek (Tianjin) Quality Technology Services Co., Ltd., combed the existing fiber length measurement standards, and explained the differences between international standards, American standards and national standards to the delegates.

Lu Jiahao from Qinghai Product Quality Inspection and Testing Institute introduced the characteristics and basic performance of yak and yak hair products, the implementation of the GB/T 12412-2007 Yak Hair standard and suggestions for the revision of the new standard, the morphological analysis of yak hair and the differentiation of similar products, the introduction of cases of decolorized yak hair and native hair, and the consideration of the use of high added value of yak hair.

At the same time, the venue showed that China Wool Textile Industry Association, China Fiber Quality Monitoring Center and Tibet Wool Textile Industry Association jointly carried out the 2023 Yak Hair 44 yak cashmere samples and test results obtained from cashmere resource survey (more than 30 cashmere samples collected from the survey in Tibet will be released in succession).

Dr. Pan Haibin, General Manager of Epack Testing Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., presented the IWTO-TM62, the international wool length and fineness measurement standard for wool textile organizations, and the related instrument OFDA4000.

During the on-site communication and interaction, cashmere detection technical experts answered questions and answered questions about 24 difficult samples collected, and the atmosphere was warm.

In the future, the Cashmere Professional Committee of China Wool Association will continue to serve its members, continue to do something like exchange of experiments and sharing of cutting-edge testing technologies, further improve the testing level of the wool textile industry, help enterprises use raw materials scientifically, and promote the healthy and orderly development of China's cashmere industry.
