The General Administration Of Customs Released Trade Data On November 7

On November 7, the General Administration of Customs of the people's Republic of China released the national cargo trade data from January to October 2020. In October, the growth of textile and clothing exports slowed down, slightly higher than the national trade in goods. Among them, the growth rate of textile export fell further, while the export of clothing continued to grow.

The total value of import and export of national goods trade is calculated in RMB:

From January to October 2020, the total value of imports and exports of goods trade was 25.9 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.1% over the same period of last year (the same below), of which exports were 14.3 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.4%, and imports of 11.6 trillion yuan, a decrease of 0.5%.

In October, foreign trade import and export reached 2.83 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.6%, including export of 1.61 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.6%, and import of 1.21 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.9%.

The total value of import and export of national goods trade is calculated in US dollars

From January to October 2020, the total value of imports and exports of goods trade was 3.71 trillion US dollars, down 0.8% over the same period of last year, including exports of 2.04 trillion US dollars, an increase of 0.5%, and imports of 1.66 trillion US dollars, a decrease of 2.3%.

In October, imports and exports of foreign trade increased by 8.4% to $415.92 billion, including exports of $237.18 billion, an increase of 11.4%, and imports of $178.74 billion, an increase of 4.7%.

Textile and clothing exports are calculated in RMB:

From January to October 2020, the cumulative export of textile and clothing was 1685.28 billion yuan, an increase of 11.7%, including 908.41 billion yuan of textile exports, an increase of 34.8%, and 776.87 billion yuan of clothing exports, a decrease of 6.9%.

In October, the export of textile and clothing was 169.61 billion yuan, an increase of 5%. Among them, textile export was 79.63 billion yuan, an increase of 11%, and clothing export was 89.98 billion yuan, an increase of 0.2%.

From January to October 2020, the cumulative export of textile and clothing was 240.62 billion US dollars, an increase of 9.5%, of which the textile export was 129.61 billion US dollars, an increase of 31.9%, and the clothing export was 111.01 billion US dollars, a decrease of 8.6%.

Textile and clothing exports increased by US $13.48 billion, up 10.46 billion.
